Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 5 May 2025

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before enquiring about or registering for any Wickleaf education programme. By submitting an enquiry, registering for a programme, or attending a session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all programmes, materials, and services offered by Wickleaf, an education organisation headquartered at 9 Lebuh Light, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.

If you have questions about any part of these terms, we are happy to speak with you before you register. Please contact us at [email protected] or call +60 4 263 8479.

1. Nature of Our Programmes

All Wickleaf programmes are educational in nature. They are designed to support households in exploring values, charitable giving practices, and family legacy conversations through structured facilitation, printed materials, and peer discussion.

Our programmes do not constitute legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, psychological or therapeutic services, or any other regulated professional service. Facilitators are not licensed practitioners in law, finance, or healthcare.

Where programme content touches on areas that benefit from professional guidance — for example, tax-related questions, the preparation of legal instruments, or estate arrangements — participants are directed to appropriate licensed practitioners and relevant authorities. Wickleaf does not make referrals on your behalf and is not responsible for any advice you receive from third parties.

2. Programme Eligibility

Our programmes are open to adults aged 18 and above. The Beginning To Give Workshop is designed for adults aged 40 and above. Specific eligibility requirements for each programme are described in the programme listing on our website and in the registration documentation.

Where a programme welcomes multiple household members, all attending participants must meet the age requirement. Wickleaf reserves the right to decline a registration that does not meet the stated eligibility criteria, in which case any fees paid will be refunded in full.

3. Registration and Payment

Registration for a programme is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment of the applicable programme fee, unless a written instalment arrangement has been agreed with Wickleaf in advance. Fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of all printed materials described in the programme listing.

Wickleaf reserves the right to adjust programme fees for future cohorts. Fees applicable at the time of your confirmed registration will not be changed.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

More than 14 days before the programme start date

A full refund of fees paid, less a RM 50 administrative charge to cover processing and printed materials already prepared.

7 to 14 days before the programme start date

A 50% refund of fees paid. The remaining 50% covers facilitation preparation, reserved materials, and cohort administration already undertaken.

Fewer than 7 days before the programme start date

No refund is available. However, we will do our best to accommodate a transfer of your registration to the next available cohort of the same programme, subject to availability.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice. Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 14 business days.

5. Changes or Cancellations by Wickleaf

Wickleaf reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, or cancel a programme where minimum enrolment numbers are not reached, where a facilitator is unable to deliver the programme due to unforeseen circumstances, or where other circumstances outside our reasonable control arise.

In the event that Wickleaf cancels a programme, registered participants will be offered a full refund of fees paid or a transfer to the next available cohort. We will provide as much notice as possible and will contact you by the email address provided at registration.

6. Programme Materials

All printed materials provided as part of a Wickleaf programme — including reflection workbooks, conversation decks, scenario worksheets, weekly readers, and personal legacy binders — are for the personal, non-commercial use of the registered participant and their household.

These materials remain the intellectual property of Wickleaf. They may not be reproduced, shared publicly, sold, or adapted without prior written permission from Wickleaf.

7. Participant Conduct

Our programmes are facilitated spaces intended to be respectful, reflective, and constructive for all participants. We ask that all participants engage with fellow participants and facilitators in good faith and with courtesy.

Wickleaf reserves the right to ask a participant to leave a session, and to withdraw them from the remainder of a programme without refund, where their conduct is considered disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to the experience of others.

8. Limitation of Liability

Wickleaf's programmes are educational and facilitative. We do not represent that participation will result in any particular outcome, decision, or arrangement within your household or with third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Wickleaf's total liability to you in connection with any programme or service shall not exceed the amount of fees you have paid to Wickleaf for that programme.

Wickleaf is not liable for any decisions made by participants as a result of programme content, any advice received from third-party practitioners to whom participants are directed, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from programme participation.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

10. Changes to These Terms

Wickleaf may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Terms applicable at the time of your confirmed registration will apply to that registration, unless a change is required by law.
