Our Approach

How Wickleaf programmes work

All three Wickleaf programmes share the same underlying method: facilitated household conversation, supported by structured written materials, in small groups where participants feel safe to think out loud. We do not lecture at households; we create conditions in which households can think more clearly for themselves.

Programmes are educational only. Where questions arise about legal instruments, tax arrangements, or financial planning, participants are directed to licensed practitioners — we do not provide that advice within our sessions. This distinction matters, and we hold it consistently.

Materials are printed and designed to last — workbooks that accumulate over a weekend, conversation decks that can be revisited around the dinner table, and legacy binders that capture a household's own conclusions after ten weeks of work. Digital supplements are available for the cohort programme, but the primary materials are physical.

Beginning To Give Workshop

Programme 1 · Weekend · RM 520

Beginning To Give Workshop

A weekend workshop for adults aged 40 and above who are beginning to think about charitable giving as part of household life. The workshop covers values clarification, how households typically approach cause selection, and a practical look at how giving fits into broader household conversations about money. Participants leave with a completed printed reflection workbook and a clearer sense of their own giving priorities.

What the weekend covers

1

Personal values inventory — what matters to you and why

2

Household giving patterns — how couples and families typically navigate cause selection

3

Giving in context — where charitable giving sits within a household's wider financial life

4

Workbook completion — a personal reflection document to take home

  • Includes printed reflection workbook
  • Weekend format — two full days
  • Referral to licensed advisers for tax questions
  • Small group — capped numbers for a comfortable session

Programme 2 · Four evening sessions · RM 1,490

Family Legacy Conversation Programme

Four facilitated evening sessions bringing a household together to consider what kind of legacy — financial, cultural, and relational — they would like to pass on to the next generation. This is a whole-household programme: spouses, adult children, and other family members who share the household's conversations about money and values are all welcome. Includes a printed conversation deck, scenario worksheets, and small-group facilitation across each session.

The Considered Giver Cohort

A 10-week cohort programme that builds a household's own giving and legacy curriculum from the ground up. The programme concludes with a printed personal legacy binder capturing each household's own conclusions. Includes a printed reader, weekly facilitated sessions, a peer discussion forum, and the closing binder.

Standards We Uphold

Consistent across all programmes

Household privacy

What participants share in sessions is treated as confidential. Facilitators are trained in group privacy and do not share household details outside the facilitation team.

Educational scope

No programme provides legal, financial, or tax advice. This is not a limitation — it is a commitment. Participants get education; licensed practitioners handle the rest.

Trained facilitation team

All facilitators complete Wickleaf's internal training in household values dialogue before leading any programme session.

Reviewed materials

Workbooks, conversation decks, and binders are reviewed for accuracy and cultural relevance before each programme intake.

Malaysian household context

All scenarios, examples, and discussion prompts reflect the household realities of Malaysian families across cultural and religious backgrounds.

Post-programme support

Participants may contact Wickleaf after completing any programme with educational questions. We respond within two working days.
